Ginger Gold apples are a thin skinned apple. They are tart at the beginning of the season and as the season progresses the apple becomes sweeter.

The skin of a Ginger gold is relatively thin. The skin color starts out green or pale yellow and as they ripen and develop there is a red blush that can be seen.

The inside or flesh of the Ginger Gold is white. They have a tart flavor when they are first picked but as they age they develop a sweet mild flavor with hints of spice.
